Global Health Scholarships

Preparing the next generation of leaders for the health of humanity.

Throughout history, nothing has killed more human beings than the viruses, bacteria and parasites that cause disease.

Thanks to global research efforts, we have managed to contain the threat of Ebola, MERS, SARS and similar coronaviruses from developing into full-scale pandemics.

However, that was not possible this time, and we know COVID-19 will not be the last pandemic in our deeply interconnected world. We need to be better prepared.

Your investment in sound science now will ensure resilience, economic stability and global health security for generations to come. Oxford University aims to make the world safer through science. With your support, we can accelerate and expand the University’s capacity to identify and assess biological risks, develop diagnostics, treatments, vaccines, technologies and tools to prevent and mitigate threats; and understand pathways to solutions.

Talented graduate students are essential to this mission, and will play a key role in delivering world-leading research as the future leaders in global health. Global Health Scholarships will give the world’s best minds the opportunity to develop and study in a stimulating learning environment, no matter what their background or where they come from.

We invite you to help us strengthen our commitment to humanity, by supporting Global Health Scholarships for the most talented individuals, to ensure that when the next pathogen emerges — which it will — we are better prepared.
