Institute for Immunology and Translational Medicine

The Institute for Immunology and Translational Medicine (ITM) will create a new way of working that integrates basic science, translational medicine and patient-centred care. This will redefine the diagnosis and treatment beyond traditional organ-specific diagnosis, to one based on the molecular pathogenesis of disease. The concept is not so much bench to bedside as bench at the bedside, providing a multidisciplinary approach that will effect real change in patient care. The goal is to cure chronic inflammatory diseases of the gut and liver.
