Founded in 1458, Magdalen College has some of the most beautiful buildings and grounds in Oxford. Each year Magdalen admits around 118 undergraduate students who have demonstrated academic talent and commitment, irrespective of their social or ethnic background.

The atmosphere at Magdalen is relaxed, devoid of social pressures, but with unambiguous ambitions towards academic and extra-curricular success.

Magdalen College: Tony Smith Student Opportunity Fund

Your support will enable students to benefit from the wide range of extra-curricular opportunities College life can provide, from the arts and sports to professional and social opportunities.

Magdalen College: Graduate Scholarships

Our graduate students make a vital contribution to research, to the intellectual life of the College, and to the wider community. Without scholarships, our students won’t be able to undertake or complete their graduate studies.

Magdalen College BAME Law Scholarship

Students from BAME backgrounds have been under-represented in our doctoral programme in recent years. In partnership with the Law Faculty, this scholarship will encourage more students from these backgrounds to apply for the DPhil in Law at Oxford.

Magdalen College: Supporting Students in Need

Increased fees have made Oxford a financial challenge for many of our students. Over 25% receive some form of financial support while they are here and we expect this number to increase. We need your help to support our students when hardship occurs.

Magdalen College: Refugee Fund

In association with the University, Magdalen is offering a one-year graduate scholarship for a Ukrainian refugee whose studies have been interrupted by war; and a two-year CARA Fellowship to an academic at risk in their home country

Magdalen College: Chapel and Choir

Few things in Oxford are as iconic as Magdalen’s Chapel and Choir. Can you help us protect this wonderful building and support those whose voices ring from the Great Tower each May Day, carrying forth the College’s name around the world?

Magdalen College has a well-stocked circulating library, four specialist libraries, and extensive historical archives covering seven hundred years of history. Our libraries and archives are a vital resource for our community.
