This Fund aims to support a postgraduate student to conduct research into the causes of infant leukaemia and to seek a cure for this devastating disease. It honours the memory of Alexander Thatte, who fought a long, hard battle against infant leukaemia. Diagnosed at age four months, he endured intense chemotherapy and two bone marrow transplants, fighting the disease for five long years, with a smile and a will to live and love.
