Teaching Fund
World-class academics lie at the heart of Oxford’s programme of teaching. The tutorial system ensures that students have a very special opportunity to engage with them, to learn from them and be challenged by them. Leading academics and students working together within this context are fundamental to the University’s position as a centre of excellence.
To secure the future of learning at Oxford, the underpinning of these teaching posts is critical. In recognition of this, the University has dedicated £60m to establish the Teaching Fund which commits to matching philanthropic gifts towards the endowment of 75 key teaching posts across the Humanities, Social Sciences, Mathematical, Physical and Life Sciences and Medical Sciences.
The Teaching Fund offers an important opportunity to help meet vital funding needs with maximum effect and for philanthropists to make a valuable and long-lasting contribution to the future of learning.
