Oxford University Boat Club

OUBC was founded in 1829 and is one of the oldest University sports clubs. The club trains and selects two openweight men’s crews, the Blue Boat and the reserves, Isis, to race in the annual Boat Race against Cambridge.

The club depends on the generosity of donors to ensure that Oxford students have the opportunity to compete in the Boat Race alongside studying at one of the world’s top universities.

Over the years, donations have provided boats, buildings (most notably the Iffley Road gym and tank, and the Fleming Boathouse at Wallingford) together with funding for training camps and coaches.

We are so grateful to all our supporters and we welcome donations at all levels.
