Giving to the Oxford University Water Polo Club
Oxford University Water Polo Club (OUWPC) strives to combine the best traditions and most valuable elements of the ancient game with rapidly modernising technology and techniques. With the Mens’ Blues game the oldest still-running annual match in the history of water polo, and the Womens’ Blues playing the Womens’ Varsity match as the finale for the first time just last year, it is a club that prides itself on the successes of the past whilst embracing the future.

After one of the most impressive seasons in OUWPC history in 2017/18, all 3 teams winning Varsity and the Men championing the Premier South division, the future is exciting and Water Polo is recognised at Oxford as a club to watch.
Ambitions for the future include hiring two new fully qualified coaches for the Blues teams, sending the Women on their first overseas training camp to Hungary (following the resounding success of a domestic one last year to Edinburgh), and building up the Mens’ 2s as a strong squad more than capable of winning their national league (after a nail biting second place in last year’s final).

Donations are incredibly gratefully received in order to continue the rapid upwards trajectory of the club. Being able to subsidise costs for players and continue to be an inclusive sport is fundamental to sustaining this vibrant and growing club, as is keeping our equipment up to scratch and investing in modern training aids.
